Scott Repass has been a bartender, an actor, a carpenter, and a barista. He has an MFA in fiction in the Creative Writing Program at the University of Houston and a Master of Arts degree from City University of New York where he wrote his master’s thesis on body-switching movies. He is co-founder of the Poison Pen Reading Series which is held monthly on the patio of Poison Girl, the best bar on the planet.
His writing has appeared or is forthcoming in Film Quarterly, Literature/Film Quarterly, Houston and Nomadic Voices, The Heartland Review, Fort Necessity, and elsewhere. His novel, Last Call Lounge (written under the pen name Stuart Spears), was co-winner of the 2012 Houston Writers Guild Novel Contest. Scott currently lives in Houston, where he and his wife own Poison Girl, which is, again, the best bar on the planet.
